The Frame Foundation

The strength of Alumadock's frames comes from the 8″ x 2″ 6061-T6 aluminum C channel extrusion. Chosen for its unrivaled rust resistance and impeccable welding attributes, 6061 aluminum is the gold standard for dock construction. But it's not just about the material. The design plays a pivotal role:

• Central channels, interior joists, and gussets are crafted using 8″ channels.
• Decking finds its place on 2″ x 1/8″ square tubing centers.
• Connections are fortified with bolts through flanges and web, accompanied by 3″ x 7″ x 1/4″ 6061-T6 aluminum backing plates.
• Corners are bolstered with 8″ channel gussets, achieving strength from MIG welding internally and aesthetic TIG welding externally.

Flotation

The unpredictability of water, be it due to varying loads or inclement weather, challenges any floating dock system. Recognizing this, Alumadock's approach incorporates Advanced Flotation Systems:

• The X9 frame's strategic floatation placement, designed to counter unpredictable scenarios.
• Secure attachments using the best stainless steel bolts, ensuring floats stay in place.
• Each fastener is enhanced with ultra-duty washers, lock washers, and nylon insert lock nuts, sealing the promise of security.

Attachments and Ancillaries

Float Attachments:

• Standard connections utilize superior stainless steel J bolts.
• Float installations are simplified, thanks to J bolts designed for easy access.

Roof Attachments

• Signature 2.7″ square stubs rise 6″ above the frame top.
• 3″ square fluted poles seamlessly integrate with the dock frame and trusses, solidified with stainless steel bolts.
